This page provides important information that explains what to prepare before departing and what will happen when you arrive at your destination. Please make sure you have a saved copy of this page on your phone, or a printed copy to refer to.
Travel Checklist
One week before departing you should go over the following checklist to make sure you have everything you need before heading to the airport:

- A valid passport for 6 months after your return
- Original Copy of Criminal Record Check (not applicable for minors)
- Proof of Sufficient Funds (printed bank statement or a screenshot of your bank balance)
- A printed copy of your flight itinerary
- Local Address in Fiji (See below)
- ESTA (if you are transiting via the USA) - Can book here
- Country Director, Irene Lily`s number (+679 293 4943) and emergency numbers (see below) added in WhatsApp and written down on paper in case your mobile battery dies
- Make sure to follow the specific visa instructions provided and confirmed by your Destination Expert.
- Scanned copy of parent/guardian's passport (minors- under 18 years)
- Signed parental consent form for sim card (minors- under 18 years)
Arriving at the airport
When you arrive at the airport in Nadi, Fiji, you will need to complete an Arrivals card.
Follow the specific visa instructions provided and confirmed by your Destination Expert regarding your purpose of visit according to your visa type.
For the address field on the Arrivals Card, please use the address provided in the Accommodation Information section of your My Project Abroad page.
Once you pass through Immigration, head to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage. After retrieving your bag, simply follow the English signs to the exit.
Meeting our staff

Our staff will meet you at the airport arrivals hall. They will hold a sign saying Projects Abroad.
- All projects except Marine Conservation
After meeting the team, they will transfer you directly to your accommodation in Nadi.
- Diving and Marine Conservation Project
Our team will escort you to the bus stop and place you on an air-conditioned coach to the Arts Village in Pacific Harbour. Upon your arrival at the Arts Village, a Projects Abroad staff member will meet you and take you to your accommodation.
If your flight arrives into Nadi after 2:40 pm, we will pick you up and take you to a host family near the airport. You will spend the night there and be collected the next morning to catch the early bus to Pacific Harbour.
In the extremely rare event that the staff member coming to meet you is late and you do not see anyone holding a Projects Abroad sign at the airport, or if you experience any flight delays, please call Irene Lily on +679 293 4943. Stay at the airport in the arrivals hall until our member of staff finds you.
