We hope you are getting prepared and excited for your trip. It’s not long now!
This page provides important information that explains what to prepare before departing and what will happen when you arrive at your destination. Please make sure you have a saved copy of this page on your phone, or a printed copy to refer to.
Travel Checklist
One week before departing you should go over the following checklist to make sure you have everything you need before heading to the airport:

- Valid passport for 6 months after your return
- Completed Immigration/Customs Form (C5) --> www.enterjamaica.com
- Local address in Jamaica: Use your host family address
- Travel insurance
- A printed copy of your flight itinerary
- Proof of sufficient funds (printed bank statement or a screenshot of your mobile banking account balance)
- ESTA if you will transit via the United States - can be arranged here
- Country Director, Sanikia Powell-Morgan (+18768501580) and emergency numbers (see below) added in WhatsApp and written down on paper in case your mobile battery dies
Arriving at the airport
When you arrive at the Airport, your first stop will be at immigration where you will get an entry stamp in your passport.
When asked, indicate that you are here to experience the Jamaican culture as a tourist.
Ensure that you know your host family's name, address and telephone number. Print your host family and placement details and take them with you.
You will then make your way to the baggage claim area where you should wait until your bag arrives. You will then go through another check point as you make your way to the exit.
