Arriving at the airport
Once you land in Kathmandu, obtain your visa and go to the Immigration Desk.
To get your visa you will have to register your information on a machine with touch screen, passport details, return flight details, your address in Nepal, take a webcam photo, tick tourist as type of visa. After that, a document will be printed and have to hand it with the cash and your passport to the immigration agent.
If asked, inform the immigration office that you are in Nepal as a tourist in order to avoid complications.
You will then reach the baggage reclaim area where you wait until your bag arrives.
Please then make your way to the exit, there will be signs in English to guide you.
Meeting our staff

Our driver will pick up all of our volunteers upon arrival into Kathmandu. He will be waiting for you outside the airport, holding an A4-sized KATHMANDU PRINCE HOTEL sign. Please make your way to him.
Please note: Several people wait near to the exit hoping to get money from people coming off flights. Some may offer taxis, some may offer to take you bag. They will then demand a tip. Tell them you are being picked up and do not need their help. Only accept the help of the staff member sent to pick you up. He will have an 'Kathmandu Prince Hotel' sign. Some of these men may even say 'Kathmandu Prince Hotel' and point at the sign. Do not let anyone help you with the bags except the man with the sign. If you make a mistake and someone insists you give them a tip, do not give more than 1 dollar. If the men insist you give more, just say this is all you have.
Our driver will drive you to your accommodation.
In the extremely rare event that the staff member coming to meet you is late and you do not see anyone holding an 'Kathmandu Prince Hotel' sign at the airport or if you experience any flight delays, please call Navin Amatya +977 9818014427 / +977 9851090405. Stay at the airport in the arrivals hall until our member of staff finds you.
