The President's Volunteer Service Award

A prestigious and unique addition to resumes, college, and job applications

When you volunteer with Projects Abroad, you can earn a President's Volunteer Service Award.

The President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) was established by President George W. Bush in 2003. It honors people whose service positively impacts communities and who, through offering their time and talents, inspire others to take action too.

How to get your President's Volunteer Service Award

To receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze President's Volunteer Service Award, you must be a U.S. citizen or US Permanent Resident and have completed your service within the last twelve months.

A special President’s Call to Service Award is available to anyone who completes more than 4,000 hours of service during their lifetime.
