Your field experience will be based outside of Montpellier in southern France, 450 miles (720km) south of Paris.
You’ll be in the Occitania administrative region which has a population of six million and borders Spain to the south-west and the Mediterranean Sea to the south-east. Other notable features include the cities of Toulouse and Montpelier, and Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The region is known for its rich biodiversity and varied ecosystems. You'll stay at a tented camp with access to diverse conservation sites.
Transport to and from Paris will be by high-speed train (TGV).
