In the Spring 2025 Semester, you'll delve into:
- BIO 201: Tropical Ecosystems & Biodiversity | 3 credits -Understand the intricate web of life in rainforests and develop strategies for their conservation.
- ENV 202: Conservation, Resource Management & Ecotourism | 3 credits -Learn to balance environmental protection with economic development through sustainable tourism practices.
- SUS 202: Political Ecology & Sustainable Business Practices | 3 credits -Explore the political and economic forces shaping our environment and discover how businesses can operate responsibly.
- ETH 201: Global Stewardship & Environmental Ethics | 3 credits -Develop a deep understanding of our ethical obligations to the planet and its inhabitants.

Where Will I Be Staying?
You’ll live in Elida Trails & Eco-Lodge, affectionately known as "The Forest."
Nestled in a serene 23-acre private forest reserve, this family-run eco-lodge offers a peaceful retreat, approximately 1 mile from Santa Elena Town and a short stroll from the campus.
Located just a 5-minute walk from the enchanting Eternal Rainforest, exclusive hiking trails and beautifully maintained gardens; Elida Trails & Eco-Lodge is your gateway to the wonders of Monteverde.
All students receive three meals per day and we can accommodate a variety of dietary needs.

This program is open to all majors, not just those environment-focused.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA required
- Currently enrolled in university or recently graduated
- No Spanish language experience or prerequisites required
